RRR (Hindi) crosses Rs 100 cr in 5 days

Continuing its extraordinary run at the box office in India,  RRR (Hindi) has breached the milestone of Rs 100 cr in the first five days. 

RRR (Hindi) continued  to hold its own on Tuesday with just a minimal drop in collections to Rs 15.5 cr. With this , the film has earned Rs 107 cr.

The film, which is drawing huge crowds in the theatres, is well on course to breach the Rs 200 cr mark at the box office in the coming weeks.

RRR (Hindi) is doing better than Sooryavanshi in many regions in Northern India.

Directed by SS Rajamouli (of Baahubali fame), RRR is a fictional story about two Indian revolutionaries, Alluri Sitarama Raju (Ram Charan) and Komaram Bheem (Junior NTR ), who fought against the British Raj and Nizam of Hyderabad respectively.

Made in Telugu, Hindi andother South Indian languages, RRR   produced by D. V. V. Danayya of DVV Entertainments., stars N. T. Rama Rao Jr., Ram Charan, Ajay Devgn, Alia Bhatt, Shriya Saran, Samuthirakani, Ray Stevenson, Alison Doody, and Olivia Morris.

The film,  which was postponed several times due to production delays and due to the Covid-19 pandemic,  has created tremendous buzz due to it being helmed by S S Rajamouli, the presence of Junior NTR,  Ram Charan and Bollywood superstar Ajay Devgn and due to its grand production values.

RRR opened to positive reviews .

The collections of all versions of the film on its opening day are Rs 240 cr worldwide,  breaking the record for highest opening day collection  by an Indian film.
