Last Film of Late Rishi Kapoor Sharmaji Namkeen releases on Amazon Prime Video  March 31

Nearly two years after his death from Cancer, Bollywood's favourite lover boy of the 70s Rishi Kapoor will be seen on the Silver screen in the comedy film Sharmaji Namkeen.

Sharmaji Namkeen, the last film of Rishi Kapoor before his death,  will premiere on Amazon Prime Video on March 31.

Directed by Hitesh Bhatia and produced by Excel Entertainment in association with MacGuffin Pictures,  Sharmaji Namkeen traces the life of BG Sharma after retirement. 

After retirement,  Sharmaji wants to follow his passion of cooking. after retirement.  However,  he faces strong opposition from his son and society

The film stars Rishi Kapoor and Paresh Rawal in the title role.

Paresh Rawal completed the unfinished portions of the film after the death of Rishi Kapoor on April 30, 2020.

Besides Rishi Kapoor and Paresh Rawal,  Sharmaji Namkeen also stars Juhi Chawla,  Suhail Nayyar,  Taaruk Raina, Satish Kaushik,Sheeba Chadha and Isha Talwar.

Speaking about Sharmaji Namkeen, Ritesh Sidhwani of Excel Entertainment said that it is a slice-of-life story of an ordinary man and his extraordinary pursuit to find a new meaning in life after retirement.

' We are humbled and thankful to work with the legendary actor, the Late Rishi Kapoor, for this epic family entertainer, which remains his last onscreen portrayal. The movie is our tribute to his commanding stardom and charm and we are happy to add another milestone to our robust collaboration with Prime Video,he said.
