After grabbing eyeballs as the dashing and handsome Sarabjit Singh Gill in the Colors show Choti Sardarni, Avinash Rekhi is currently making heads turn with his portrayal of the Charming Prince Devraj Singh Thakur in the television show Tere Bina jiya Jaye na, story of an ordinary girl realizing her dream of being swept off her feet by her prince charming.
While on the face of it Tere Bina jiya Jaye na, which is being aired on Zee TV, is the story of an ordinary girl realizing her dream of being swept off her feet by her prince charming, the show is much more than a love story.

It is the story of a fictional Kingdom of Ambikapur where an ordinary girl Krishna Chaturvedi arrived in a grand Palace to begin her life with the prince of her dreams Devraj Singh Thakur. However, with the worlds of the girl next door Krishna Chaturvedi and Prince Devraj Singh Thakur being poles apart, she soon finds herself pulled in a swamp full of lies and deceit.
After doing a variety of roles in shows traversing diverse genres, Avinash Rekhi is excited about Tere Bina jiya Jaye na, a show which has a thriller element in it, something he has always wanted to explore.
'It is a story which is quite different from the shows that I have done. Tere Bina jiya Jaye na has an intriguing story that clicked with me the moment I was offered the role of Prince Devraj Singh Thakur. I have been waiting to do a thriller.
So, I took it up as soon as it was offered to me,'Avinash Rekhi said.
On his character of Prince Devraj Singh Thakur, Avinash Rekhi said playing the role required a lot of preparation.
''Playing the character of Prince Devraj Singh Thakur required a lot of hard work as it is quite different from the kinds of roles I have done before, 'he said.
Avinash, who made his debut on television with the Colors TV show Chhal - Sheh Aur Maat, has earlier worked in shows like Madhubala Ek Ishq Ek Junoon, Maharana Pratap on Sony TV and Tu Sooraj Main Saanjh, Piyaji on Star Plus.
He was last seen in the Colors TV show Choti Sardarni, playing the role of the dashing Sarabjit Singh Gill.
So, I took it up as soon as it was offered to me,'Avinash Rekhi said.
