Abhishek Bachchan's next Bob Biswas to release on Zee5 on December 3

After impressing audiences with his performances in the film The Big Bull and the web series Breathe into the Shadows,  Abhishek Bachchan will be seen playing a  contract killer leading a dual life in Bob Biswas,  to release on Zon December 3.

Directed by Diya Annapurna Ghosh and produced by Red Chillies Entertainment in association with Sujoy Ghosh,  Bob Biswas stars Abhishek Bachchan and Chitrangada Singh in the lead roles.

Bob Biswas,  which marks the directorial debut of Sujoy Ghosh's Daughter  Diya Ghosh,  is a story on the life of contract killer Bob Biswas,  a spin off from the 2012 film Kahaani.

Bob Biswas was a character in the 2012 film Kahaani directed by Sujoy Ghosh. 

A crime drama set against the backdrop of a love story that will showcase the dual life led by the contract killer,  Bob Biswas has been shot in Kolkata.

Speaking about the film, it's director, Diya Annapurna Ghosh, said, “I have had the most fantastic experience designing Bob Biswas, a crime-drama that has a love-story in its essence. This film came to me in 2020 which was one of the most difficult times in all of our lives. I was blessed with a fabulous set of actors like Abhishek and Chitrangda amongst others who have given it their all. With the support of my whole crew, Red Chillies Entertainment and Boundscript, we culminated amidst all odds to make Bob Biswas happen, and I’m very grateful to them.”

Bob Biswas will mark the first pairing of Abhishek Bachchan and Chitrangada Singh in a Bollywood Film.

The trailer of the film will be released tomorrow.

Abhishek Bachchan was last seen in the film The Big Bull,  based on life of stock broker Harshad Mehta.
