Sooryavanshi nears Rs 150 cr worldwide in 6 days

Sooryavanshi continues to draw audiences to the theatres in a big way in India and abroad, with earnings of the film nearing the figure of Rs 150 cr worldwide in six days of its release.
Sooryavanshi, which took a flying start at the box office in India and abroad, has earned Rs 112 cr in India in six days and Rs 34 cr in the oversees markets.
The Akshay Kumar Katrina Kaif starrer has now earned Rs 146 cr worldwide in six days of its release.

Sooryavanshi, which released on 1500 cinema screens in the overseas markets, has earned 4.58 million Dollars oversees in six days which comes to nearly
Rs 34 cr.
The film earned Rs 3.29 million Dollars in its opening weekend in the overseas markets (Rs 24 cr) .
The film, which released on nearly 4000 cinema screens across India, has done excellent business in Mumbai (despite the theatres operating at 50 per cent occupancy), Delhi, UP and Gujarat.
Sooryavanshi earned over Rs 75 cr in its opening weekend and remained steady during the week days, earning Rs 14.25 cr , Rs 11.5 cr and Rs 9 cr on Monday , Tuesday and Wednesday respectively .
The film has now earned Rs 112 cr in the first six days.
It looks set for collections of Rs 120 cr in its opening week.

With earnings of Rs 26 cr on its opening day in India, Sooryavanshi became the second highest opener for Akshay Kumar, after Mission Mangal.
Trade experts say that It is the fourth highest opener for Rohit Shetty, after Singham Returns, Chennai Express and Golmaal Again.
The strong run by the film have spread cheer in the film industry as it has brought back audiences in the theatres and boosted film trade.

Sooryavanshi has finally broken the jinx for Bollywood, which has in the past few months witnessed films like Bell Bottom, Mumbai Saga, Chehre and Thalaivi take an average opening in India amid the restrictions in cinema halls necessitated by Covid-19 pandemic and the reluctance of the audiences to venture out to watch films in theatres amid the looming threat of Covid-19.
The strong opening taken by Sooryavanshi has spread cheer in the film industry which is seeing it as a sign of the revival of film business in the country.
Though the past few months have witnessed the release of big starrers like Roohi, Mumbai Saga, Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar, Bell Bottom and Chehre, all of these film had an average run at the box office amid the continuing threat of Covid and restrictions put on place on entry of audiences in cinema halls.
However, now, with a sharp decline in the Covid-19 cases across India, cinema halls in most parts of the, barring Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh, are now operating at 100 per cent of their capacity.
The release of Sooryavanshi kickstarts the process of release of big starrers in the cinema halls after a drought of film releases over the last 19 months due to the spread of the Coronavirus pandemic.
Release of Sooryavanshi will be followed by the release of Bunty Aur Babli2 and Antim on November 19 and that of Satyameva Jayate 2 on November 25.
