Sharman's latest Music School is about pressure of education system on kids to excel in academics, leaving no room for art and culture

Indian education system putting pressure on children to excel in academics , leaving no room for art and culture,  has formed the subject of many Bollywood films in the past.

The latest film to focus on the subject is the Sharman Joshi starrer Music School,  which released in cinemas on May 12.

Directed by Papparao Biyyala, Music School is a heart-warming musical is about how the prevailing Indian education system and parents put pressure on children to be competitive in their studies, leaving no time for art and culture.

The film is about how two music and drama teachers Mary and Manoj struggle to bring  music in lives of the children.

Playing the lead role in the film is noted actor Sharman Joshi,  who has earlier been a part of 3 Idiots, a film that talked about the malaise of the Indian education system.

In Delhi for the promotion of the film,  Sharman Joshi said that shooting for the was an enjoyable experience.

'Shooting for Music School was an enjoyable experience moreso since its involved working with children. During the shooting of the film,  I was always around kids.

Being around kids has always been a stress reliever for me,'Sharman Joshi.

Sharman Joshi,  who has established a niche for himself in the industry with films like 3 Idiots, Life in a Metro, Hate Story 3 and Ferrarri Ki Sawari, has earlier worked with children in Ferrari Ki Sawari.

Besides Sharman Joshi,  Music School also stars Shriya Saran, Prakash Raj, Mona Ambegaonkar and Suhasini Mulay.

Speaking about the film, the director Papparao Biyyala said, ''the film is a musical representation of a serious topic- It is about when  happens when a child is pressurised to make his/her career in specific field rather than music. We have tried to portray this important topic with lots of tun.”

Based in Hyderabad,  Music School features several child stars who assays role of kids looking to pursue their passion in life.

Music School is yet another film on the lines of Raju Hirani 's 3 Idiots that gives a message on the importance of pursuing one's passion.
