On his way to school, Atharva gets kidnapped by two goons. What has happened to Atharva is of complete mystery to the entire Wagle family as their simple lifestyle could not land them in trouble with goons.
Wagle Ki Duniya to see heightened drama next week with Atharva's kidnapping |
The coming episodes will reveal whether the Wagle family will get to know about Atharva's kidnapping and whether he will get back safely.
Sumeet Raghavan, who assays the role of Rajesh Wagle, says that as an actor he could relate to the episode.
'This is the first time that the Wagle family has gone through something of this seriousness and gravity. Not knowing your child’s whereabouts is a complete nightmare for any parent and to find out that they have been kidnapped brings an indescribable amount of stress on the family. Being a parent myself, I wouldn’t even want to think about something like this, which is why I could really relate to my character.
In traditional homes like the Wagle family, the father has to look out for the safety of all family members, and your son being kidnapped just brings a sense of failure. But what matters the most in this situation is family support, and we don’t just have the Wagle family but the entire Sai Darshan Heights Society with us looking for Atharva. So, it will be interesting to see how the entire family deals with this situation,'he said.
Pariva Pranati, who assays the role of Vandana Wagle, said that as an actor she could completely identify with the emotions being experienced by the Wagle family.
'Being a mother myself, I could really feel each and every emotion that Vandana was going through. The Wagle family leads a very simple life, so having their son Atharva kidnapped for ransom is beyond the worst that any of them could have ever imagined. You are never prepared for something like this to happen, and it takes a huge emotional toll on every single family member in its own way.
Vandana and Atharva fought the same day, so the guilt of scolding him became much stronger for her with the kidnapping. You feel helpless, and there is a looming threat to your child’s well being and safety. But the family as a whole always sticks together and comes out stronger with each passing obstacle, so it will be interesting to witness how they get out of this massive setback,'Pariva Pranati said.
A comedy show based on characters created by noted cartoonist, R. K. Laxman, Wagle Ki Duniya deals with the issues faced by middle-class in India.
