Sushmita Sen in fierce look in teaser of Aarya2, streaming on Disney Hotstar soon

Season 1 of the web series Aarya saw Bollywood actor and former Miss Universe Sushmita Sen grab eyeballs in the role of a woman who takes charge of her family after the sudden murder  of her husband at the hands of his enemies.

After the stupendous success of the season 1, the international Emmy nominated web series returns with another power-packed season which will see Sushmita Sen  reprising her role as Arya Sareen.

Season 2 of Aarya will see the protagonist Aarya Sareen combat her worse demons as she sets out to avenge her husband's death at all costs.

Disney Hotstar today unveiled the teaser of the show, which pledges an impacful and compelling story that will see Aarya Sareen donning a force avatar to avenge her husband's death.

Teaser of Aarya season 2, helmed by the award-winning and immensely talented Ram Madhvani of Ram Madhvani Films, promises viewers a thrilling and spine-chilling watch as Aarya Sareen manoeuvres a grittier, darker journey in the rousing second season of the webseries.

The teaser reveals actor Sushmita Sen in her ferocious and intense look covered in raging red colours as the poster brings across the image of a  lioness fighting the odds to save her family.

Director of the Ram Madhvani said that season 2 of Aarya will see the protagonist Aarya Sareen walk a fine line between keeping her family alive and seeking revenge from the murderers of her husband.

Talking about  the second season of Aarya,  Ram Madhvani said,''the love and appreciation we got post the release of the first season was heartwarming and it made us want to create the second season with all the more love and labour. The show’s nomination in the Best Drama category at the International Emmy Awards reaffirms our faith in the story we set out to tell. Crime thriller series  Aarya, story of an ordinary  woman who takes charge of her life and her family after the murder of her husband and takes help from the mafia to avenge death of her husband, marked Sushmita Sen’s debut on the digital screen.

Created by Ram Madhvani and Sandeep Modi and directed by Sandeep Modi, Aarya was produced by Ram Madhvani under the banner Ram Madhvani Films, along with Endemol Shine Group.

Based on the Dutch drama series Penoza, Aarya is about Aarya, an independent woman who seeks to protect her family after murder of her husband and joins a mafia gang in order to get revenge for her husband's murder.

The web series starred  Sushmita Sen in the titular role while featuring Chandrachur Singh, Sikander Kher, Maya Sarad, Jayant Kriplani and Manish Chaudhary in key roles.

The first season, which was  streamed on Disney Hotstar last year, created a lot of buzz . Sushmita Sen got lot of appreciation for her performance as Aarya.

Sushmita Sen won the award for Best actor Female at the Filmfare OTT awards held earlier this year.

 Aarya also  bagged the nomination for Best Drama series at the international Emmy Awards .

Aarya bagged the nomination for Best Drama series alongside the series  El Presidente from Chile, Tehran from Israel  and There she Goes from United Kingdom.
