Watching Amitabh Bachchan effortlessly interact with contestants of the game reality show Kaun Banega Crorepati it would seem that it is something that comes naturally to the megastar.
Amitabh Bachchan's daughter Shweta Bachchan, however, says that watching her father interact with participants of the game reality show and sharing their them his feelings is a unique feeling for her and for other members of the family as he is usually a man of few words.

Participating in the 1000th episode of the Kaun Banega Crorepati along with her daughter Navya Naveli Nanda, Shweta Bachchan Nanda said, 'watching dad interact with the participants of the game reality show is something unique for all of us.
Usually, he does not talk much at home, keeping himself busy in writing blogs or remaining confined to his room. So, watching him effortlessly interact with the contestants is a surprise. '
During the various episodes of Kaun Banega Crorepati, Amitabh Bachchan is seen putting the contestants at ease by sharing with them incidents of his life and indulging in light conversation.
On his interactions with the participants of the show, Amitabh Bachchan said that as a host of the game reality show, it is his endeavor to make sure that every contestant leaves the programme with good memories.
Going down memory lane to the year 2000 when producers came to him with an offer to host the inaugural edition of the reality show , Amitabh Bachchan said that at that time many people dissuaded him from taking up the offer to host the show as making a transition from the big screen to the small screen would hurt his image.
'It has been 21 years since the game show began on television. It was launched on television in the year 2000. At that time, we did not know anything about the medium. Everybody I met said that you are going from the big screen to the small screen. It will damage your image,'Mr Bachchan said.
The megastar said that the reason he decided to take up the offer despite many dissuaded him was because of his financial situation at that time since the film offers had dried up.

'The situation at that time was such that film offers had stopped coming ,'Bachchan said.
Bachchan said that he agreed to do Kaun Banega Crorepati on the condition that it would be as grand as the British show Who Wants to be a millionaire, from which it has been inspired.
'The producers of the show took me to London to meet the show host Chris Tarrant. It is only after I was satisfied that Kaun Banega Crorepati would have the same format and settings as the original that I agreed to do the show,'he said.
The megastar said that the overwhelming response to the first edition of Kaun Banega Crorepati allayed all his apprehensions.
'Seeing the overwhelming response and reactions to the very first broadcast of the show, it seemed to me that my entire world had changed. The biggest positive from hosting the show all these years has been that I got to learn something from each and every contestant who appeared on the show, 'Mr Bachchan said in a video shared by Sony entertainment television on the airing of the 1000th episode of Kaun Banega Crorepati.
An Indian adaptation of the British show Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?, Kaun Banega Crorepati has been presented by Amitabh Bachchan since its inception, except for during the third season, which was presented by actor Shah Rukh Khan.
The game reality show aired on Star Plus for its first three seasons from 2000 to 2007.
Since 2010, it has been airing on Sony Entertainment Television .
