Bollywood hunk John Abraham and director Nikhil Advani had a fanboy moment on sets of the game reality show Kaun Banega Crorepati this weekend as megastar Amitabh Bachchan reenacted an iconic confrontation scene with Shah Rukh Khan from the 2000 film Mohabbetein .

During the game show,  Nikhil Advani,  who was on the program to promote his new film Satyameva Jayate 2, which features John Abraham and Divya Khosla Kumar in the lead roles,  recalled that as an assistant director in Mohabbetein, which starred Amitabh Bachchan,  Shah Rukh Khan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in key roles, he got an opportunity to direct the megastar.

Amitabh Bachchan reenacted iconic scene from Mohabbetein on sets of KBC

Sitting on the hot seat with John Abraham,  Nikhil Advani fondly recalled that he had had the opportunity to direct Mr Bachchan in an iconic  scene in Mohabbetein which witnesses him in a confrontation with Shah Rukh Khan .

In the scene,  Amitabh Bachchan, principal of a Gurukul who is strongly opposed to the winds of change ushered in his college by its new music teacher ( Shahrukh Khan) , says that as the principal of the college he has run the institution on the three principles of  'Parampara, Pratishtha Aur Anushashan'(tradition, Pride and Discipline) and would continue to do so and that no Raj Aryan with a violon in his hands could shake the foundations on which the college has been found,.

Nikhil Advani expressed a desire to direct Amitabh Bachchan in the same scene.  As Mr Bachchan enacted the famous scene in his trademark baritone voice, the entire audience of the KBC stood mesmerised at the reenactment of the iconic  scene .  The reenactment of the scene was followed by a rapturous applause from all those present,  including John Abraham,  Nikhil Advani and Divya Khosla Kumar. John Abraham bowed in reverence over the brilliance of Mr Bachchan.

Directed by Aditya Chopra and produced by Yash Raj Films, Mohabbetein narrates the story of Narayan, the strict principal of Gurukul college whose daughter Megha, commits suicide after he opposes her relationship with Raj Aryan.

Several years later, Raj Aryan returns as a music teacher at the college. Through his music coaching,  he ushers in winds of change in the college, aiding three Gurukul students to follow their love interests as sign of  rebellion against Narayan's intolerance of love.

The film starred Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, and Aishwarya Rai, and marked debut of actors Uday Chopra, Shamita Shetty, Jugal Hansraj, Kim Sharma and Preeti Jhangiani.

Mohabbetein got widespread acclaim from critics, with Amitabh Bachchan and Shahrukh Kha garnering praise for their   performances .

A huge commercial success,  Mohabbetein became the highest-grossing Indian film of 2000.

The film won four trophies at the 46th Filmfare Awards, including Best Actor – Critics for  Shah rukh Khan and Best Supporting Actor award for Amitabh Bachchan.
