Dramatic start to Baal Shiv as Mahasati Anusuya resolves to see Tridev as her children

The much awaited mythological show Baal Shiv kicked off to a dramatic start on & TV last evening with Mahasati Anusuya resolving to see Tridev as her children.

Baal Shiv,  that depicts the mythical story of Mahasati Anusuya and Baal Shiv as mother and son and their eternal bond,  began on a grand note.

Dramatic start to Baal Shiv as Mahasati Anusuya resolves to see Tridev as her children

The show presents viewers two contrasting worlds - one in Kailash parvat and another showing the Gurukul.

As the Sun rises on the magnificent snow-caped Kailash with floral archanas to Lord Shiva and Devi Parvati, in Gurukul Mahasati Anusuya (Mouli Ganguly) makes the barren land green by performing tapasya.

Mahasati Anusuya, who is the perfect balance of compassion and determination, imparts knowledge and cultivates discipline to the students at the Gurukul. However, when she punishes Devi Indrani’s son for inappropriate behaviour at the Gurukul, Devi Indrani insults her for not understanding a child’s pain as she has never become a mother.

Talking about the track in the first few episodes, Mouli Ganguly, who plays Mahasati Anusuya, said,''we all have been eagerly waiting for the first few episodes to go on-air and it is finally aired on &TV for viewers to watch. I believe the audience will appreciate the narrative and representation of all the characters.

As the headteacher of Gurukul, Anusuya takes care of its children as her own, imparts the best of her knowledge and cultivates discipline in them. However, Devi Indrani insults Anusuya, accuses her of imperfection and questions her capability. In the Mahasabha, Mahasati Anusuya vows to see Tridev as her children.”

Siddharth Arora,  who assays the role of Mahadev,  is confident that the engaging narrative of the show will draw viewers.

“The impressive depiction of Kailash Parvat and the way Mahadev has been represented in Baal Shiv is truly first-of-its-kind on Indian television. Mahadev ensures that he dedicates time to all his priorities. Mahasati Anusuya attracts his attention. The narrative is extremely engaging and entertaining and I am confident people will be enjoy the show thoroughly,'he said.

Baal Shiv , which features an ensemble cast comprising Aan Tiwari as Baal Shiv, Mouli Ganguly as Mahasati Anusuya, Siddharth Arora as Mahadev, Shivya Pathania as Devi Parvati, Krrip Kapur Suri as Asur Andhak, Praneet Bhatt as Narad Muni, Danish Akhtar Saifi as Nandi, Dakssh Ajit Singh as Indra, Anjita Poonia as Indrani, Ravi Khanvilkar as Archarya Dandpani, Rajeev Bhardwaj as Rishi Atri and  Pallavi Pradhan as Maina Devi , will be telecast on & TV from Monday to Friday at 8 pm.

Aptly positioned Mahadev Ki Undekhi Gatha, the show, produced by Zee Studios, will depict the mythical Katha of the mother and son, Mahasati Anusuya and Baal Shiv and their eternal bond.

Considered Infinite and the Unborn, Lord Shiva had taken many avatars, but he had never experienced childhood and mother's love. However, post his marriage with Devi Parvati, Mahadev takes the form of a child to fulfil Devi Parvati's wish and becomes the dutiful son of Mahasati Anusuya.
