A major portion of the earnings of the film on Saturday came from Delhi NCR and Chandigarh.  Other centre's like Mumbai,  Kolkata and Bangalore also saw some growth in Saturday.

Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui , which stars Ayushmann Khurrana and Vaani Kapoor in lead roles, had below average earnings of  Rs 3.25 cr on Friday. A large chunk of collections of the film came from Delhi NCR and Chandigarh.  However,  collections of the film were quite low in other areas, including Mumbai, Kolkata,  Bangalore and Pune.

The film is expected to witness further jump in its earnings on Sunday. However,  trade experts feel that with its unconventional theme and lack of mass appeal,  the film could find the going tough on weekdays.

Despite critics lauded the film for its unconventional theme and good performances,  Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui failed to draw crowds to theatres, especially in mass centers like Mumbai,  Gujarat and Kolkata.

The disappointing collections of Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui are mainly àttributed to its lack of mass appeal.

Trade experts feel that with its unconventional love story of a bodybuilder and a trans woman ,  Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui failed to draw masses to the theatres.

Directed by Abhishek Kapoor,  Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui stars Ayushmann Khurrana and Vaani Kapoor in lead roles.

Barring Tadap and Antim The Final Truth,  most of the Bollywood films released after Sooryavanshi, including Bunty Aur Babli2,  Satyameva Jayate 2 and now Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui have have proved to be  disappointing fares at the box office.

The film trade has pinned a lot of hope on the upcoming films like 83 , Pushpa, Spider-Man and Jersey, which are scheduled to release in cinemas in the coming weeks.
